ESPORTS ORGANIZATION
Founded in 2019, Version1 operates Minnesota Røkkr in the Call of Duty League, a team in the Rocket League Championship Series and a dynamic roster of streamers and creators. We are proudly owned by Minnesota Vikings owners the Wilf family and co-owned by entrepreneur and investor Gary Vaynerchuk.
OUR GOAL is TO CREATE A BRAND THAT is UNIQUE AND NOT SOMETHING THAT YOU can FIND IN TRADITIONAL SPORTS.

As organizations grow and scale, it’s understandable that some roles require specific sets of skills and experiences. These skills and experiences help organizations build infrastructure, increase revenue, and provide more opportunities to add staff. Often this requires industry experience. Historically, if one doesn’t have industry experience, it would be obtained via an internship. But, we needed a new answer and it was simple.

As an organization, Version1 wants to reimagine hiring and workplace practices in ways that provide and advance equitable access to opportunities in esports. We recognize that we have an important role to play by strengthening our diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility efforts in our workplace and the industry.
Born from this commitment, we designed a program that would offer unique opportunities for talented professionals, especially those from historically excluded groups, to gain access to the esports industry by supplementing our team of professionals during watch parties, tournaments, game days, and other events throughout the year. By working a few hours during events throughout the year, you supplement your resume with industry experience and we benefit from passionate and talented professionals who – like us – want to #PlayAsOne.
