Minnesota Røkkr vs Los Angeles Thieves

Game 1: Hydro Hardpoint

Despite a fiery start from Røkkr, the Thieves were able to stabilize quickly and take the majority of time on P1 while keeping their preferable spawns for P2. Winning the rotation to the third hill, Minnesota answered with a solid hold while Afro heated up and secured the P4 rotation for his team. Continuing to fry, Afro secured kill streaks and continued his team’s chain of rotation wins, putting Minnesota narrowly in the lead as the second set of rotations began. Heavily contested hills led to a neck-and-neck game as P4 popped. LA won the rotation, giving them a solid hold and the lead on the map. However, Minnesota answered with an equally strong P5 hold leading to a 187-203 scoreline in favor of the Thieves as the third set of rotations began. Unfortunately, Thieves were able to lock in the last P1 to P2 rotation, allowing them to close out the first map, 250-205.

Game 2: Hotel Search and Destroy

After narrowly falling in the opening round, Røkkr swiftly answered back with a clinical attacking round win. Despite several heroic efforts from Minnesota, especially from Afro, the Thieves exercised their prowess in SnD with several solid round wins bringing the round count to 4-1 in their favor. Røkkr fought back with a set of clean rounds bringing them close to an even scoreline. However, two final dominant rounds from LA gave them the map two win, 6-3.

Game 3: Hotel Control

With their backs against the wall, Minnesota started on the attack for Control. Making quick work of the B zone, Røkkr easily transitioned to A as Afro went on an incredible streak, allowing his team to close out the first round. Although Røkkr maintained their momentum going into the second round, the Thieves proved to be just as fierce on the attack and swiftly tied up the score at 1-1. As the battle continued, chaos reigned and the Thieves were able to come out on top, taking the third and fourth rounds to close out the map, 3-1, and the series, 3-0.
