Version1 defeats FaZe in 2-0 win, VCT NA Last Chance Qualifier – Day 3
Version1 faced FaZe on day 3 of VCT NA Last Chance Qualifier and were victorious with a flawless 2-0 victory.
V1 will now advance and face XSET in the second round of the lower bracket.
Map 1: Icebox
Map 1 started off rocky with 2 consecutive round losses for V1. The gears started turning for Version1 and answered back to FaZe, winning the next round. In the next round, V1 Wippie won a close 1v1 to tie the match. After that, V1 went on to extend the lead at 5-2, forcing FaZe to take a timeout and regroup. The lead increased to 9-3 and after rounds traded here and there, V1’s lead was too far and took the win at 13-10.
Map 2: Breeze
Map 2 looked very similar to map one. Rounds were constantly traded off until Version1 caught wind and pulled ahead making the match 6-4. V1 took a timeout to adjust and came out strong. Oderus pulled off a clutch 1v1 to put V1 ahead once again. After a couple of consecutive wins, V1 pulled ahead at a comfortable lead. FaZe were on the brink of a comeback in the end but fortunately, V1 were able to keep that lead and ultimately won the match and series at 13-10.
