V1RL vs Nefarious

Version1 squared off against Nefarious. Things began with “the battle of the midfield,” as teams traded passes and blocks before Nefarious netted the first goal of the match halfway through game one. Torment netted one shortly after, but Nefarious came through to score two more, winning the first game, 3-1. 

Despite each team quickly netting a goal to start off game two, Version1 continued to struggle, lacking in communication and forcing a few over-commits. The game remained a steady back and forth with a few lucky misses from Nefarious. Overtime 12 lurked as time ticked down. Torment hammered one home about a minute in, winning game two for Version1.  

Version1 got on the board first in game three, but Nefarious battled back and scored twice, taking game three and going up one in the best of five match. Game four was do or go-down-two for Version1.  

Gimmick scored in game four in the opening seconds and managed to hold off Nefarious. V1 nets another goal halfway through the match, going up 2-0. Nefraious scored in the final minute, but Version1 holds on, staying alive to win game four and evening out the series at two games each. Game five, here we come. 

Version1 piled on two goals early, going up in game five 2-0. Now, it was all about defense for the team. Gimmick and Comm pile two more goals on top as time ticks down. With the game five score at 4-0, Version1 comes out on top, winning the day’s second series, 3-2.
