Minnesota Røkkr vs Toronto Ultra

Minnesota Røkkr and Toronto Ultra battled hard for control of P1, but neither side was able to hold the hill, and the score sat at 8-8 moving into P2. 8 – 8 after P1. Toronto Ultra were able to lock down P2 and P3, taking the lead despite several solid attempts to break through Ultra’s defenses. Minnesota Røkkr quickly set up on P4, and a good hold prevented Ultra from extending their lead. Moving into the second hardpoint rotation, the score was 100-61 in favor of Ultra — a spree of nine uninterrupted kills from Attach helped Røkkr battle back and close the gap.

With only 30 seconds remaining in the match, Røkkr were able to bring themselves within five points of Ultra. However, time ran out before Røkkr were able to take the lead, and the final score was 217-212 in favor of Ultra.

Game 2

Mode: Search & Destroy

After an opening round that went in favor of Ultra, three kills from Attach in the second round let Røkkr tie the match at 1-1. Havok and Standy demonstrated excellent teamwork in the fifth round, securing a round win and bringing the score to 3-2 in favor back of Minnesota Røkkr. After the two teams traded rounds back and forth, Ultra found themselves on match point, and closed out the game. The final score was 6-4 in favor of Toronto Ultra.

Game 3

Map: Berlin
Mode: Control

Røkkr started on defense, and Attach racked up a streak of seven kills to secure a glide bomb. After Ultra took A, Røkkr set up on B. Ultra made a successful push on B, and and took the first round of the game. Transitioning to offense in the second round, Røkkr captured A early, and set their sights on B. However, Ultra managed to defend the point successfully, and the score was now 2-0 in favor of Toronto. Minnesota Røkkr answered back, with streaks from Attach, Standy, and Priestahh helping Røkkr claim the next two rounds to tie the match at 2-2.

Toronto Ultra came out on top in the final deciding round, winning the series 3-0 and eliminating Minnesota Røkkr from Major III.
