During the first three hardpoints in the opening game of Røkkr’s series against OpTic Texas, neither team was able to gain a decisive lead. On P5, OpTic was able to break Røkkr’s defensive setup and pull ahead. Despite a rotational setup from Røkkr to try and gain control of P1 at the beginning of the second hardpoint cycle, OpTic was able to maintain and extend their lead, eventually winning the match.

Final Score: 250-144 in favor of OpTic Texas.

Game 2

Map: Desert Siege
Mode: Search and Destroy

Røkkr opened up the second match with two dominant round wins — OpTic answered back, and after an additional round victory was secured by Røkkr, the score was tied at 3-3. After a clutch defuse from OpTic, Røkkr dominated the rest of the map, with MajorManiak and Priestahh leading the charge. 

Final Score: 6-4 in favor of Minnesota Røkkr.

Game 3

Map: Tuscan
Mode: Control

The third game started in traditional Control fashion, with the first 4 rounds going to the defensive team. In Round 5, Røkkr was on the attacking side, and needed to win the first offensive round of the map to take the match. Despite a strong capture on A from Røkkr, the Minnesotan team was unable to penetrate OpTic’s defensive hold on B.

Final Score: 3-2 in favor of OpTic Texas.

Game 4

Map: Berlin
Mode: Hardpoint

Needing a win to keep their Major 2 run alive, Røkkr fought valiantly in the fourth match of the series. Unfortunately, OpTic gained the lead early on in the map — despite Røkkr applying relentless pressure as the map progressed, the Minnesota team was on the losing end of several key gunfights, and OpTic closed out the game.

Final Score: 250-163 in favor of OpTic Texas.
