Minnesota Røkkr vs Paris Legion Major II Qualifiers | Day 3

Map 1 – Tuscan Hardpoint

Both Røkkr and Paris have yet to win a Tuscan hardpoint this season, it is a race to see who will change that statistic. Røkkr has control of the 2^nd hardpoint and are racking up points with ease. Paris is the first team to rotate over to the third hill, as they fight to take control of the game. Røkkr working together like a well-oiled machine break Paris’ set up and start accumulating points in the third hardpoint. Paris Legion again, the first team to rotate over to the new hill but Røkkr’s offense is too strong as they break the hill and continue their reign on Tuscan. Paris takes the lead for a brief second but Røkkr is able to take the lead back as they are now winning 126-108. As the casters hop into a listen in with Paris Legion you can hear the frustration in their voices as Røkkr continues to be a thorn in their sides. The kill feed is flooded with purple as Røkkr is now 9 points away from winning map one, all they need is one break! But Legion somehow bring this game within 3 points of winning. Both teams scrambling to get in the hill and when things finally calm down Paris is the team to close it out, winning by the skin of their teeth 250-248.

Map 2 – Tuscan Search and Destroy

After a heartbreaking map 1 loss Røkkr is looking to redeem themselves in this Search and Destroy, they take the first round. Things are looking up, as Røkkr win back-to-back rounds, if they keep up this pace, they could easily 6-0 Paris. Disaster strikes as Paris Legion hold Røkkr at 3 rounds. They have killstreaks and a lot of momentum. Røkkr Priestahh finds himself in a 1v4 situation and unfortunately has bitten off more than he can chew. Paris Legion take map 2, 6-3 and are now leading this series 2-0.

Map 3 – Tuscan Control

Tuscan seems to be a popular map between these two teams, as we jump into map 3, Control on none other than, Tuscan. It is now or never for Røkkr, they need to win this map if they want this series to go the distance. They are down lives in the first round, and it is not looking good. As Paris continues to make Røkkr’s lives difficult. Røkkr hanging on with all their might, they start to pick off Paris player one by one. It’s not going to be enough, and Paris win the first round. The second round does not start off as action packed, as both teams casually trade kills back and forth. Røkkr are able to flush Paris off of the point at the last second and lives are now tied 13-13. Røkkr doing a great job of defending the point, they are up in lives and come out with the round 2 win. Røkkr looks like they are waking up in this series as they take the map 3 victory. Could this be the start of a reverse sweep?

Map 4 – Berlin Hardpoint

Røkkr are not out of the weeds yet, they still need to win map number 4 and they are not off to a good start as the entire team falls to Paris. Paris is playing extremely aggressive and are out slaying Røkkr. Røkkr however are beginning to get some crucial kills and hill breaks. As the casters jump into a listen in you can hear the passion and excitement in Røkkr’s voice and in that moment the fans know, this is not over. Røkkr takes the lead 122-69 and counting. Røkkr starts to slay out and gains control of the game, and in the blink of an eye it is all over for Paris as Røkkr take the map 4 victory, 250-143.

Map 5 – Bocage Search and Destroy

This series is going the distance! We have a game 5 on our hands. Paris ends up winning the first round but Røkkr keep their cool and answer back with 2 round wins in a row. MajorManiak gets a first blood in the fourth round but Attach falls to Paris shortly after. Priestahh is in a 1v3, and Paris takes him out, winning round number 4. Standy and Priestahh win a 2v3 against Temp and John and Røkkr is now up 3-2. Both teams have been taking this map low and slow as they do not want to make any unnecessary mistakes. Røkkr begins to pick up the pace winning 2 rounds in a row, they are now just one round win away from doing what nobody thought could be done. Gravity and Temp are in a 2v3 situation, Røkkr executing perfect plays, they are now going to let this one slip out of their hands. Røkkr wins map 5 6-3 and achieve the reverse sweep over Paris Legion.
