Version1 vs OXG

It’s a rematch from The Grid earlier this week, this time in Day 0 action of the Spring Split Regional 3.

Game 1 – 4-0

Goals flowed in for the Version1 crew in Game 1. Gimmick crushed the first score of the series upper 90. Each V1 player found themselves on the score sheet and stout defense all around lead to the 4-0 victory.

Game 2 – 2-0

Over two minutes transpired before Torment finally put one home for the V1 squad. Comm creatively cornered one into the Oxygen zone that the opponents accidentally put into their own net. We took Game 2, 2-0.

Game 3 – 3-2

Game 3 started out in similar fashion where it took over two minutes for either team to score. Version1 broke the stalemate, but Oxygen quenched their scoring drought with two of their own back-to-back. With just 35 seconds left, Comm floated a triple (maybe quadruple) touch off the backboard right into the waiting bumper of Gimmick that sent things to OT. One minute of OT was all it took before Gimmick secured the hat trick, the game win and the series win.
