Version1 vs Envy

Match 2 – V1 versus Envy Version1 came into the match up at 4-0 in The Grid so far but ended the match 4-1 after a sweep from Envy’s relentless offense and brick wall defense.

Game 1 -Atomic scored first for Envy on a goal that deflected off the crossbar less than one minute into the game. V1 made a quick transition to Envy’s half and answered with a goal from Comm about 30 seconds later. With just under 2 minutes left, Torment saved a near goal as the ball floated in front of the net. Both teams react with pressure on offense but a mistouch in front of the goal by Comm resulted in an Envy goal. Envy took the game 1, 2-1.

Game 2 -Envy held onto its momentum in game 2. Turbopolsa scored the first goal with2:32 left to play and his team kept the pressure on. Version1 attempted shot after shot and despite a strong defensive counter from Envy, Torment managed to sneak a goal at39 seconds to go. Regulation ended the tie 1-1, sending the game to OT. OT didn’t last very long as Atomic scored 1:10 into it and Envy captured 2 in a best of 5.

Game 3 – Turbo scored the first goal one minute into game 3 and Torment eventually answered after a Comm won a challenge and set his teammate up with a ball in front of the net. Envy reacted with continued pressure on V1’s half of the field. Atomic got through to score with just over a minute left in regulation. Mist piled on with a top-right corner goal and Envy held on to win 3-2, completing the sweep against V1.
