VersionX vs Immortals

Map 1 – Icebox

Starting on Offense, VersionX narrowly lost the opening pistol round, but swiftly bounced back with a thrifty round 2 win. A heroic 1v1 clutch from Katarina gave VX the early edge. Multiple closely contested rounds resulted in a tied game at 4-4. The last set of rounds in the first half followed the same pattern, leading to a 6-6 scoreline as the teams switched sides for the second half. A chaotic second pistol round was won by Immortals to put them in the lead. Immortals continued to find success on offense and despite a valiant effort by VersionX, they were able to close out the map. Immortals took the map 1 win, 13-6.

Map 2 – Fracture

The opening pistol round was a clinical offensive victory for VersionX. After VX picked up a second round on the attack, Immortals answered back with a defensive win in round 3. VersionX continued to dominate on offense, quickly taking a 4-1 lead. The defense rebounded, and the game was tied 5-5 going into the final rounds of the first half. Round 12 saw a 4 kill spree from Katarina, giving VersionX the final round win of the first half and tying the game up at 6-6 before switching sides. The second pistol round went in favor of VersionX after a ninja defuse from Katarina. VX converted the following round with a similar game plan, getting a second defuse and going up 8-6. Proving strong on defense, VersionX swiftly grew their lead, with a flawless round putting them up 10-7. A final string of decisive round wins gave VersionX the map win. VersionX took the victory in map 2, 13-7.

Map 3 – Icebox

The close opening pistol round went in favor of immortals. After another defensive round for Immortals, a dynamic double kill from Rush helped secure VX’s first round on offense. Immortals put together a string of defensive wins, but a thrifty round from VersionX stopped their momentum. Several close rounds were exchanged to close out the first half and the teams switched sides with an 8-4 score in favor of Immortals. Now on defense, VersionX fought to get back into the game. A 1v2 clutch from Naomi gave VX a much needed round win. Although they rallied, VersionX were unable to regain, and Immortals took the map 3 win, 13-5.
