Game 1

Kicking off Game 1, Torment out-maneuvered Gen. Gā€™s defense to net a swift opening goal for Version1. Gen. G drove forward on offense, but impeccable defense from V1 kept the goal line secure. With just a few seconds left on the clock, Gen. G were able to equalize and send the game to overtime. Both teams traded several shots on goal, but Gen. G were the first to connect, taking the Game 1 win, 2-1.

Game 2

A back-and-forth Game 2 saw offensive pressure across the field. Gen. G netted the game’s first goal as the clock ticked over to the second half. A clinical solo drive from Comm netted Version1 the next goal, tying everything up at 1-1. Neither team could net a second goal, sending the series to a second OT. In overtime, clinical positioning from both teams staved off any attempts made at the net. A bold steal from Gen. G went straight toward the net, giving them the winning goal in Game 2.

Game 3

Capitalizing on their momentum, Gen. G netted the opening goal of Game 3. Gen. G furthered their lead with a second goal. Version1 fought to equalize as the clock ran down. Clinical teamwork netted the first goal needed, with just five seconds left in regulation. Keeping the dream alive, Torment netted the zero-second goal to send Game 3 to OT. Despite Version1ā€™s fierce efforts to secure the win, a counter-attack from Gen. G resulted in an open-net goal, giving them the Game 3 win, 3-2.

Game 4

Looking to start their reverse sweep, Torment connected with the opening goal for Version1. Maintaining their dominance in Game 4, V1 kept Gen. G out of the net and continued to apply pressure on offense. Gen. G were able to tie up the game at 1-1 late in the second half. Wanting to keep the game out of OT, Comm secured a second goal for Version1. Gen. G were unable to answer, giving V1 the 2-1 win in Game 4.

Game 5

A closely-contested Game 5 led to a scoreless first half. A set of goals put Gen. G up 2-0 with under a minute to play. With six seconds left on the clock, BeastMode connected with the first goal.
