Version1 looked to keep the momentum on after finishing top four at the season opening Regional event. The team looked lackluster, however, to start things off, quickly going down five goals to nil versus Vibrance in its opening match. The team shook of game one and fans held their breath it could turn things around.
As Lawler noted on the broadcast, communication between the squad seemed to be off but V1 managed to defend its net to prevent any goals in game two. As the clock crept into Version1’s 11th overtime of the season, Torment netted a goal to even things out in the match. Version1 with game two win, 1-0.
While the team seemed to come alive in the following matches, V1 couldn’t battle back from a shaky start. Vibrance defeated Version1 in the opening series of the day, 3-1.
