V1RL vs Asle-R8

Game 1:

V1’s offense was much more aggressive this time around. Comm scored from a great assist by Torment, putting V1 up. After a game tying goal from JBot, reality started to set in for V1. Even after great defensive efforts, Axle-R8 scored 3 more goals and won game one.

Game 2:

Comm put the first goal on the board but Axle-R8’s Tool scored immediately after, tying the game. About two minutes later, almost the exact thing happened: Comm scored, but Axle-R8 responded. Now in OT, the pressure was on. Unfortunately, JBot set up a perfect pass for Bambii to score. Now 0-2, Version1 had to pull off a reverse sweep.

Game 3:

V1 came out right off the bat with an insane full team pass play that allowed Gimmick to score. Almost 30 seconds later Gimmick scored off a great power shot. Comm even got involved and Axle-R8 scored but ran out of time. V1 lives to see another game!

Game 4:

A great pass by Torment to Comm to put the first point on the board.

Bambii responded about 3 minutes in and scored from midfield. Comm got off a great power shot and put the game further out of Axle-R8’s reach. V1 prevailed in a 2-1 win and forced a game 5.

Game 5:

This was it. V1 fans are more than familiar with situations like this.The game was scoreless until JBot scored with 1:01 left on the clock. V1 started to scramble and with 36 seconds left on the clock, Comm perfectly assisted Torment and tied the match. Now in OT, there was no time to waste. Both teams were great defensively with saves after saves. Torment had a great look but missed slightly about the goal. That left an open net, allowing Axle-R8 to score. Unfortunately, that ended V1’s run in the tournament.
