Minnesota Røkkr vs Atlanta FaZe

Minnesota Røkkr came out hot for the opening hardpoint, quickly flipping the spawns for P2 while contesting early time on the first hill. A 5-kill streak from Attach gave Røkkr the clean hold and the lead as both teams began the rotation to the third hill.

Minnesota were able to break FaZe’s setup on both the third and fourth hills to extend their lead. A back-and-forth P5 resulted in an almost tied game at 106-109 in favor of Atlanta while both teams battled for control at P1. Cammy locked down the hill for Røkkr, giving them a 40 point lead. Minnesota continued to dominate across the map, easily surpassing the 200 point mark as the second set of rotations ended. FaZe fought back with a strong P1 hold, but Røkkr’s SMGs combined to stop their progress and secure the setup at P2. Chaos reigned as both teams fought for the win at P2, but Minnesota came out on top in the gunfights, securing the Game 1 win, 250-246.

Game 2
Map: Hotel
Mode: Search & Destroy

Starting on the attack, Røkkr quickly went down a player, but a heads-up play from Afro resulted in a double-kill to secure the opening round for his team. Røkkr continued their brilliance, securing a string of decisive round wins to go up 4-0. A 6-kill streak from Bance awarded him a cruise missile and kept the lead firmly in Minnesota’s favor. FaZe were able to answer with a set of rounds, bringing the scoreline to 4-2. However, Røkkr remained solid with a perfect offensive round putting them on map point. One final clinical offense for Minnesota gave them the 6-3 victory in Game 2.

Game 3
Map: Fortress
Mode: Control

Røkkr opened a defense-favored Fortress Control on the preferred side. They were quick to lock in the spawn trap, bleeding FaZe out of lives and the clock out of time. Attach went on a 6-kill streak to secure the defensive win. On offense, Røkkr swiftly broke out of their spawn and moved onto the B zone. Impeccable teamwork allowed Minnesota to secure the entire point, putting them firmly in the segment lead. FaZe were able to reinstate the spawn trap to take the second defensive win. Back on defense, Minnesota remained solid, but a last minute effort from Atlanta gave them an A point capture before time ran out. Røkkr took the round, but the segment lead was tied up. Relying on the kill lead to determine the sides for Round 5, Røkkr played conservatively in their second round on the attack. A few kills were exchanged, but in the end Minnesota were awarded with defense for the final round. Despite FaZe’s attempts to take the first offense of the map, Røkkr proved too strong on defense, taking the Game 3 win, 3-2. With the victory in the Control, Minnesota Røkkr swept Atlanta FaZe, 3-0.
