Stage 4 Major, Day Two: Minnesota R­økkr falls to Atlanta Faze 0-3

Minnesota R­økkr faced Atlanta FaZe in the second round of the Stage IV Major and R­økkr was not able to keep the momentum in gained after beating NYSL on Thursday. FaZe defeated Minnesota 3-0. R­økkr will face the winner of Chicago OpTic and Seattle Surge in the lower bracket on Saturday.

Map 1: Garrison Hardpoint

Map 1 was a game of trading the lead back and forth until FaZe pulled ahead, 107-63 after P4. R­økkr came close to closing the gap but FaZe opened up the lead again and it remained that way until the end. FaZe won 250-152. Priestahh went 21/23 and had a 5 kill streak.

Map 2: Raid Search and Destroy

FaZe started map 2 off with an early bomb plant at point A and picked off R­økkr to win the first round. R­økkr answered and did the same to take round two. Minnesota kept winning their gunfights and that led to a round three and four win. FaZe went on to win the next three rounds but R­økkr stopped the momentum and grabbed a round, tying the match 4-4. After trading rounds, the match went to round 11. In the end, FaZe came out on top winning 6-5.

Map 3: Garrison Control

Atlanta was locked in for map 3 and did not let up. In round one, they secured point B and picked off Minnesota one at a time. FaZe held down the points on defense and won round two. In round three, FaZe secured both points despite R­økkr’s defensive efforts and won the map 3-0. FaZe’s Arcitys finished 20/6 and had an eight kill streak.
