Keeping the momentum alive. This week at Version1.


All three Version1 teams are coming off impressive wins headed into another jam packed weekend of esports. Read on for everything you need to know about V1 action coming at you over the next few days!  



The matches. Røkkr will begin the second major of the season with momentum. The team is on a three match win streak after an 0-2 start in Stage II. Things turned around after role changes that included Priestahh moving to an AR/flex position and the signing of Standy as a starter at SMG. 


Røkkr rounded out stage play 3-2 with an impressive reverse sweep against the Surge on Saturday. They’re seeded first in Group B and play Friday afternoon against the winner of New York and Dallas, who face ofThursday at 2:00pm CT. The major is a double elimination tournament and $500,000 will be split between the top seven finishers, with the winning team claiming $200,000 in prize money. Røkkr could potentially play Friday, Saturday and Sunday this week.   


Røkkr’s first match is scheduled for 2:00pm CT on Friday, April 9. Saturday and Sunday are TBD.

The matchesThe second Regional of the RLCS X Spring Split begins Thursday, April 8! V1 has two matches guaranteed on both Thursday and Friday. Here’s what we know about the Regional schedule, so far (all times CT and approximate): 


DAY 0: Thursday, April 8  

  • 5:00pm: V1 versus 72PC 
  • 6:30pm: V1 versus KC Stromboli 

DAY 1: Friday, April 9  

  • 2:20pm: Version versus Charlotte Phoenix  
  • 3:20pm: Version1 versus Kansas City Pioneers  

DAY 2: Saturday, April 10 

  • Matches start at 12:00pm  

Day 3: Sunday, April 11 

  • Matches start at 12:00pm  


Where to watch.  Day 0 isn’t broadcast by the league, so we’re bringing V1’s first two matches to you on the Version1 Twitch with SUP3RSON1K and Lawler, starting at 4:45pm CT with a mini pre-show. Stick around as we’ll also broadcast the Kansas City Pioneers vs. Charlotte Phoenix in between our matches.  


Days 1-3. While we are guaranteed to play Friday, moving on to Saturday and Sunday is up to V1. To play Saturday, we need to finish in the top 4 of 5 teams in our group; V1 will play each of its four group teams Thursday and Friday. Similar to the first spring regionalV1 is partnering with Minnesota sports radio station, KFAN100.3, on an exclusive Regionals co-stream, via the Power Trip Twitch this weekend. The co-stream will cover all V1 games, so follow along with hosts Zach Halverson a producer at KFAN and Dillon Pomeroy, the marketing coordinator at Version1.

The matchesThe V1VAL squad closed out the open qualifiers of the VCT Champions Tour North America Stage 2: Challengers 1 by doing just that: qualifying. To get to the Main Event this weekV1 beat FaZe Clan in open qualifiersStarting ThursdayV1 competes as a top 8 team in the NA Stage 2 Challengers Main Event and tremain in the Upper Bracket, V1 must win. One loss moves them down to the lower bracket and another loss there, bumps them out of the tournament all together.   


Have you ever been to Iceland? That’s where our team ultimately wants to end up in May for the VCT Stage 2 Major and the first-ever VALORANT LAN event. Only the top two teams in each region will get there. First thigs first: here’s our schedule for this weekend at the Challengers NA Stage 2 Qualifiers Main Event (all times are CT and approximate)!

Where to watch. The Challengers main event matches will be live streamed on the VALORANT Champions Tour NA Twitch channel. We will be sharing regular score and schedule updates on the Version1 socials.
