VersionX’s Stunning Debut, Defeats NMG Indigo In VCT Game Changers Day One
Version1’s all-women’s professional Valorant team, VersionX, made their debut in a match against NMG Indigo on day one of the VCT Game Changers 3 Open Qualifier.
Their performance was far from underwhelming. In a 2-0 win, VersionX made a statement and set a tone that will echo throughout the rest of the tournament.
Map 1: Bind
Things started out a little rocky for VX during the first two rounds, but they came out of a technical pause to win the next one. VX were trailing behind for most of the match, but their teamwork and strategy were starting to heat up. There were a few flawless rounds won by VersionX and before fans could blink, the match was tied at round 20. In the end, we witnessed resilience and a comeback from VX to win the match, 13-10. VX Karra finished with 25 kills and VX Rushhh with 19 kills.
Map 2: Ascent
The VX squad completely dominated map 2. From the start, they were unstoppable. From a plant and win to take the pistol rounds to converting 2v4 situations, then to just executing flawless rounds. NMG Indigo were hanging on and managed to win 5 tough rounds but VersionX’s pushback was too strong. VersionX finished 13-5, winning their debut match. VX Karra finished with 20 kills, and VX Naomi finished with 16 kills.
