Minnesota Røkkr vs Paris Legion

Map 1: Garrison Hardpoint

Minnesota Røkkr gave its fans a reason to forget the recent Hardpoint woes, dominating from the opening break in Map 1. Røkkr held a comfortable 147-56 lead after the first set of rotations. Legion put some late points on the board to avoid getting behind by triple digits, but Røkkr cruised to a 250-129 win. 

All four Røkkr players had positive K/Ds, with Priestahh leading the way at 22/15 and 1:24 hill time.

Map 2: Raid Search and Destroy

Map 2 was just as lopsided as Map 1, but with the opposing team dominating play. Legion sprinted out to a 5-0 lead before Røkkr won their lone round of the map. Paris then closed it out for a 6-1 win. Skrapz lead the way for Legion with an 11-2 K/D.

Map 3: Raid Control

Control opened with the teams trading wins on defensive rounds before Røkkr took control in Round 3. Røkkr won the pivotal offensive round on the back of incredible plays by Attach in the closing moments. Locked in a standoff with Zaptius as the clock ticked down, Attach challenged with 1.5 seconds on the clock, winning the  the critical 1v1 and then took out Temp. Attach would fall moments later, but bought enough time for Standy to reach the point only a half second later. Both Standy and Major Maniak then added key kills to finish the round. Røkkr then carried that momentum into the fourth round of Control, securing the map win.

Map 4: Moscow Hardpoint

The back and forth nature of the series continued throughout Map 4. Minnesota started strong with a 52-18 lead after P2, but Paris battled back to trail just 79-76 after the first set of rotations. The teams continually traded leads throughout the map, culminating in a furious battle across P4 and P1.

Entering the final Hardpoint at P1, Paris lead 242-234 and won the rotation. Every Røkkr player came up big to quickly break Paris’ hold and then keep control long enough to secure the win. Attach again won the key 1v1 vs. Zaptius to stop Paris at 247 points. At the same time, MajorManiak flanked to kill Aqua and keep the clock stopped when Attach fell. Priestahh then had three critical kills to give Røkkr control of the Hardpoint, and Standy’s 2K blunted the final Paris push. One of the season’s most exciting Hardpoints ended as a 250-247 Røkkr win to close out the series.
