Version1 vs KC Pioneers

After a game 4 win in match 1 against the Pittsburgh Knights, Version1 returned to The Grid against the Kansas City Pioneers and its high-flying offense.

Game-by-Game Highlights of Match Against KC Pioneers

Game 1: The teams battled it out until an epic save from Gimmick led to a dribble down the pitch and a score by Comm at 2:39. A long up-field pass to Comm makes it 2-0. Kansas City answers at :23 seconds to play, but it isn’t enough. Version1 takes game 1, 2-1.

Game 2: Kansas City came out on the attack but a great save from Comm 10 seconds in keeps the match even at it 0-0.  Gimmick takes a pre-jump to receive and score but Beastmode answers and we’re tied at 4:27. After a goal from Torment, Version1 leads 2-1 with 3:30 to play. Kansas City turned it on then and the teams go back and forth, regulation ends tied at 3-3. Torment scored a clutch goal at +2:15 into overtime and Version1 takes game 2, 4-3 OT.

Game 3: Gimmick scores the first goal of the match and Torment scored the insurance goal with :32 seconds left. A final clean up goal with no time left gives Version1 the 3-0 win in the game, and the 3-0 sweep against Kansas City.
