Minnesota Røkkr suffered a painful 0-3 loss at the hands of Boston Breach in their first match of CDL Major II Qualifiers.

Game 1
Map: Fortress
Mode: Hardpoint
After an even split of time on the first two hills of the hardpoint, Boston secured the P3 setup to take an early edge. Røkkr answered back with a good hold on the fourth hill but Breach continued to grow their lead. Through the second set of rotations, Boston monopolized control of the hills, quickly breaking the 200-point mark. Attach mounted the comeback for Røkkr, going on a 6-kill streak to secure the P4 hold and get his team back in the game. Unfortunately, Boston’s lead was too strong and they took the Game 1 win, 250-144.
Game 2
Map: El Asilo
Mode: Search & Destroy
After dropping the opening round, Røkkr hit their stride, securing a defensive win of their own followed by a 2v3 clutch to take the early round advantage. Boston answered back to take a 3-2 lead. After a clean round win from Røkkr tied up the score, both teams fiercely fought for the win, but a series of decisive rounds went in favor of Boston, giving Minnesota’s opponents a 6-3 win in Game 2.
Game 3
Map: Hotel
Mode: Control
Starting on defense, Røkkr forfeited the A point to Boston and focused their hold at B. Despite a rock-solid defense from Minnesota, Breach were able to make it onto the point, securing the opening round. On offense, Røkkr took control at A, swiftly capturing the point. A 4-kill spree from Afro secured Minnesota’s rotation to B, but Boston’s defense held firm and they took the second round of the Control. Røkkr fought to stay in the game, but Boston remained dominant, securing a 3-0 win in Game 3 and a 3-0 series victory.
