Map 1: Haven

Map 1 felt much closer than the 13-8 score would indicate. Version1 opened strong, going up 6-0. V1 won Round 6, although LG got all the kills to take control of the economy and set up for a comeback. LG opened their attacking half with two quick wins to close the gap to 8-6 before a team ace in Round 15 got V1 back on track. With V1 up 11-8 and the map still very much in doubt in Round 20, Dazzle had three quick kills to give LG hope. The advantage was nullified by three kills from Thief elsewhere on the map, while Penny and Wippie clutched the 2v2 to put V1 on map point where they closed out the 13-8 map win. Thief turned in a strong Map 1 performance at 20/14 (+6) taking on his former teammates. 

Map 2: Split

The first half of Map 2 was a back and forth 6-6 tie. Attacking in the second half, V1 controlled the pace from the opening pistol round where Effys’ three kills gave V1 the round and key momentum. With strong team play, V1 dropped two attacking rounds en route to another 13-8 map win advancing to the Main Event. Penny was absolutely dominant on Map 2, going 23/12 leading all players with +11.
